Maths

This maths we have been learning how to times in ones, tens and hundreds. We did it in a way that we write our numbers down and equal it into the columns then add from left to right. The hard part was at first when we started to learn it. The easy part was at the end when it all worked out.

Free writing

This week in writing we have been learning how to free write. Its when we relate it to the topic that we were given into a beautiful piece of writing. The hard part was coming up with good vocabulary which is the key to writing. The easy part was coming up with the ideas.

Hangi.


In two weeks me and a couple of classmates did hard work trying to make a hole process of hangi making. Firstly we went to the ngahere at pakaraka to collect the wood for the hangi. The next day for hangi creating was my mates were prepping the hangi food because I had to go to a funeral. the hard part was lifting everything. The easy part was raking the stones out of the hole.

Persuasive writing

Today in writing we learnt how to write a persuasive writing. The hard part was putting the persuasive sentences into the rite order. The easy parts were arguing with the competitor to see who had a the most reasons and b good strong reasons.  

The keyword is O.R.E.O. O stands for orientation,  R and E stands for reasons and examples and the final O stands for opinion.

Imaginative narrative.

This week in writing we have been learning how to write an imaginative narrative. In our imaginative narrative it has to be something that is not real. for examples monsters perhaps. We have to write our orientation, problem starting, problem arising, problem develop and problem solved. The hard part was writing it all down and to get every spelling write, also getting high level vocab. The easy part was coming up with the imagination. Here is a piece of my writing. Kiza was a really phenomenal  fighter and would usually come home with a champion belt.

Cultural festival.

On Friday the whole school and other schools were welcomed down to the hall to do our cultural festival ( Te reo ). Te rau Pau Manawa o Kawakawa, Te Mana Tamariki and Te Rau Pau Manawa o Kawakawa hula girls. The hard part was performing my best with I accomplished. The easy part was the poi because the boys basically had to stand their smiling in tu tane.
