Sails for science

 

During this program we learned about ecology, DNA, the ocean environment, bio diversity and how invasive species can have a negative effect or threaten bio diversity. We also learned different ways scientists can detect all types of species throughout the ocean. On our fist trip we travelled to Opito bay. At Opito bay we used a plankton net to collect plankton which we would later inspect on a microscope. Plankton are microscopic organisms which are pretty much at the bottom of the marine food chain. To use the plankton net you must cast the net out and retrieve it. On our second trip we done a voyage yacht in the harbour of Opua. Those that went on the smaller inflatable that would then tow the plankton net. Later on we also done abit of fishing where I caught 3 Kahawai. 

Future planning end of term assessment

What is your understanding of career? career is something you go buy for the rest of you're life that could be your source of income. This could be a build up like how you study up to be a doctor, this is all a build up or a gateway in your career. Eg: My career is going to be MMA. What is your understanding of Kotahitanga? Kotahitanga is to be united or in unity. Like a team unite and works together to make Kotahitanga. What is your understanding of Rangatiratanga? Eg: Hone Heke shows Rangatiratanga as in great leadership by guiding them to victory. How do the concepts relate to the topic? These concepts are key to your life in it being successful. I have learnt a lot about planning my future with great and accurate evaluation. 

Future planning topic

Our future planning topic is a great way to show our future and plan our future. We had to plan our career, Have an understanding of Kotahitanga and an understanding of Rangatiratanga. The easy part was explaining what we wanted to do in our future. The hard part was calculating and evaluating all of it. 

SST Term 3

 What we have been learning in social studies is planning out a life with a certain celery of money. This helps us with planning and having a good vision of our up and coming future.

Nz entrepeneur

 In this topic we had to choose a business from NZ that makes good money. I choose the alcoholic brand codys as it is an iconic NZ business. The hard part was gathering alot of information. The easy part was doing a poster.

The real game reflection

 Over the past couple weeks we have been doing a sheet showing how we want our future to be. This mahi has been very good to work on. It was hard making it fit into our future within the right price. We also showed what job and what house would fit with our jobs. This was great for being aware on our future.

Quin-Learning

 I think my learning has been acceptable for this term in Social Studies which is being reflected on. We have been studying Leadership and Government. During our learning of Leadership and government I have learnt lots about all of the objectives like how government works and how parliaments are chosen. We also learnt about leaderships and the important leaders of Aotearoa. It is evidential that I hove done lots of work because a lot has been submitted in my hapara workspace. Doing lots of hard work often leads to success.

Economy 

Economy is a stock market for goods and services. There are mixed economies.

Trade 

Trade is when you buy and sell goods as profiting. E.g people were trading goods online.

Globalisation

Globalisation is an act of interacting between people, companies and governments around the world. E.g people globalize or interact on crypto currency apps such as Binance.

2. Add a report on the NZ Export Product you researched this term 

My report is based off of the crf series. I will be talking about the crf series financially and exportingly. The crf series is exported as a dirtbike product within the honda community to new zealand. It is factory made in thailand, then sent to nz to be profited. It cost $9495 to be bought straight out of the factory as honda stores, Then which they sell to people for $14795 resulting in a $5500 plus profit. It is founded by new york and instructed by the founders of honda in new york. They are shipped by there co workers that own taurus logistics. Overall honda crf series is a great all round bike and is top of the motorcycle industry.

nz export product

 Kia ora this is my blog post on nz export products which we covered in social studies.

We were asked to research a new Zealand product and find one to do. I chose to do research on the NZ product which is a crf 250 dirt bike. These are great dirt bikes in the NZ motocross industry. My research improved my understanding of these products Greatly by research on it, by tracking it and seeing the sales of it. My conclusion is that crf 250s are a great dirt bike for motocross.

Nukutawhiti/Migration

 

At the start of this term we kicked off with learning about migration. This then evolved on learning about migration This started off with migration. My understanding of migration is when someone or some people dedicate their life to move somewhere and start a new life. Place is where someone can go or an existence of a certain location. My understanding of change is certain to be a miraculous difference to happen between someone or something. Because migration is all about changes and places for a fresh start. This is simulor to our push and pull mahi because They both link to our migration mahi which we have done. This topic challenged my thinking by doing dramatic changes to our work and learning it last. My research project supported learning stuff by research. I think this topic evolved my migration thoughts which is a good thing..

Its basically about this person who gets left out because he doesn't have a balaclava because his mum wont get him one. 

It then escalates and he tries to steal one from Norbet but then he puts it in Norbets jacket.

1	Hori	Hori is a hori from south Auckland. He has always dreamed of going to Auckland Grammar high school to become a rugby star. He was held back from it for a while because of wages or a scholarship. His birthday came by and his mum surprised him with the money to attend Auckland Grammar. Two weeks come by then he ends up migrating to the school. Since he was pursuing his dream he could only ride his dirt bike every 3 weeks due to it living in south Auckland.
2	Eshay	Eshay is a lad from Australia who hangs around street corners, malls and more located in Brisbane. He has a dream of becoming a nrl player. He would like to go to angilacan grammar school which is where his star player attended (Kalyn Ponga) but he is trying to look for a scholarship. The thing that is stopping him is his behaviour from rolling people. 4 weeks come by, his behavior is changed which approves his scholarship to attend angilcan grammar school.
3	Kwaku	Kwaku is a male who lives in Africa. Kwaku lives in Africa with his family of 6. He really wants to move to America with his aunty because there are a lot more opportunities there for him to pursue his afl dream. The thing that is stopping him is the cost of the plane ticket to move over there and him going to miss his family. His parents end up saving enough money for him to go, he says goodbye to his family then off he goes to pursue his dream.
4	lilya	she is a Jew and it was not easy to be a Jew in that country because of anti-Semitism and a lot of discrimination to the Jews that she went through, and that’s why she always dreamed to live in some country that she felt freedom, that she wouldn’t feel discriminated to get the job, to get the education because shes a Jew, not because she don’t have enough knowledge, enough education, enough experience, but because she is a Jew and she don’t think that this is fair and she don’t want this life for herself and she don’t want this life, for her kids and grandkids and future generation.
5	Lucy	There’s a lot of bribes- people can commit crimes, and the rich person- if- say- like this, the rich person son do something, you c- i- to the poor one – who doesn’t have money – you can’t do anything about it. Because you don’t have the money. The judge would take the bribe, and the rich one walks free. That’s how it is with everything. You bribe people to get a good job in the government. Every- everything is a bribe, and lotta drugs money there. And the police, the government, the president and everybody is involved in it.

Signs of migration blog

 I am going to reflect on my signs of migration in my whanau. We had to talk about migration in our whanau and our whakapapa of how they migrated. I have learnt how migration works and my whakapapa in the whanau. The is to our kupe work as we can learn our whakapapa in this work. Researching helps me figure out stuff I don't know which is tough. My overall view of the topic is I think it is Great that we learnt about our whakapapa and there migration.

Kapa haka

 This year Is my last year of primary/intermediate which means my last stand of kapaz. This year I have made a great achievement by becoming a kaitataki and I placed second. This year was also a great stand for my school as we placed third overall. The hard parts about kapa haka is a the drills and Harty practices. The easy and fun parts are the accomplishments and to see how good the end results are.

CAREER

This week we have been looking for ineterst in careers and mine was a proffesional drifter. To become a professianol drifter you have to practice and train your driving/drifting skills and to become a popular drifter you need sponserships such as monster and read bull. They average pay depends on how good your content is.
